Cost and Economy of EV Coaches
There are many factors that come into play when pricing for vehicle hire, things like distance, driver availability and capacity required, just to name a few. One huge factor that keeps costs down for our clients when booking our Electric Coaches is that the cost factor of fuel surcharges is non-existent, meaning the money we save from our in-house charging can be passed down to you, our clients!
With the price of fuel fluctuating daily and the ever-increasing anxiety about fuel shortages, it can be hard to predict the knock-on effect this can have on booking costs with traditional coaches. With our electric fleet, we can more accurately estimate the cost to charge these vehicles, meaning we can offer much more stable pricing models to our clients
Performance and Range of EV Coaches
On a full charge our Electric Vehicles hold around 250-300 miles of range on a full charge, which can often be extended with efficient driving. We also have an agreement with a well-known and reliable transport company with depots nationwide to allow us to use their charging facilities up and down the country, allowing us the opportunity to achieve longer distances. So you never have to worry about completing your journey, we will get you there!
Our Electric Coaches take between 2-3 hours to recharge on a fast charge, which, combined with the range our Coaches can achieve, means long distance = no problem. Whether charging at the services or at the depots of our agreed partnership, this can easily be factored into the journey time, meaning you have some time to stretch your legs, our drivers can take their mandatory rest, and you can get where you need to be, reliable and green!
The Environmental and Social Impact of EV Coaches
It’s a no-brainer that travelling by coach is way greener than using separate cars, especially when travelling in large parties. On average, a petrol car emits about 170g of carbon per person per kilometre. Whereas a Euro 6 Diesel coach drops this to 30g. Our 50-seater Electric Coaches go even further than this, cutting emissions to just 20g per person per kilometre! That’s a huge 79% reduction in greenhouse gases compared to a modern diesel coach!
